1 cup flour
1 cup beer
3 Tblspns sugar
2 tspns salt
Oil for deep frying

Vidalia or Texas A&M 1015Y Super-sweet Onions

Directions:
Combine well, the flour and beer, cover and sit for no less than 3 hours, then add the sugar and salt

Skin the onions, nip both ends and slice into 1/4" wide rings. Dry the rings by folding them into paper towels

Heat the oil until a few added drops of water boil out
TIP: 375 is ideal...a 1 inch square piece of bread will brown in 1 minute

In a bowl of flour, coat the rings then dip into the batter (add flour for thicker, beer for thinner) and deep fry until gold. Remove, add salt to your liking NOW, drain on rack.
