3 squares bakers chocolate (melted over hot water)
3 c sifted cake flour
1 sp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 c sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c water

Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
Grease bottoms only of 2 9" round pans. Line with wax or parchment paper and grease again.
Beat the eggs until thick. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition. Beat in melted chocolate. Add the dry ingredients into cream mixture, mixing until incorporated. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on racks for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and remove paper. Cool completely.
