2 ¼ pounds stewing beef
½ cup oil
4 potatoes diced
1 onion thinly sliced
2 celery stalks
2 carrots diced
8 ounces of button mushrooms
3 cups beef stock
½ cup tomato paste
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
½ tsp basil
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon soyasauce

Directions:
Directions:
Trim the fat from the beef
Heat oil in pot
Add the potatoes, onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms and sauté for 3 minutes
Add the beef and brown
Add beef stock, tomato paste, seasonings, Worcestershire and soya sauces and bring to a boil
Reduce and simmer for 3 hours
Serve
