5 egg whites at room temp
¼ t salt
5 cups sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
2 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff.. set aside
Combine sugar, syrup, and water
Cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water (265-270) on a candy thermometer
Slowly add syrup to the egg whites, beating all the time
Do not scrape the sides of the pan when pouring
Beat until mixture holds its shape
Pour into a buttered 13x9x2 inch pan
After it cools, cut into squares or drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper to cool
Note: before beating chopped nuts, chopped candied fruits and or shredded coconut may be added
