1 c sugar
1/2 c water
1 T white corn syrup
1/4 t salt
6 large marshmallows
3 drops oil of peppermint
3 c pecan or walnut halves
few drops food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water, sugar, syrup and salt to very soft ball stage (225 degrees). Melt marshmallows in hot syrup. Add peppermint and coloring; stir well.
Add nuts and stir with wooden spoon until mixture begins to grain.
Turn out on waxed paper and separate nuts with forks.
Freezes well up to 8 months.
