4 cups flour
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp allspice
1/2 tsp cloves
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups applesauce
2 Tbsp vanilla
1 cup raisins (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Set aside. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, applesauce and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in raisins (opt). Fill greased muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes and remove to wire rack. Makes 2 dozen muffins.
