2 bay leaves
Water
Potatoes
Carrots

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat into serving sized pieces (be somewhat generous, meat will shrink up a bit), trim fat. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Dredge meat in flour, shake flour off and season again. Heat oil in pan. Brown meat pieces on both sides, add bay leaves to pan, turn heat to low, add water (always keep some liquid in pan) and simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Quarter potatoes and carrots and when meat is almost tender, remove meat from skillet, put carrots and potatoes in bottom of pan, add meat on top and cook until vegetables are done. Remove meat and vegetables from pan, set aside and keep warm. Mix milk and flour together in separate container, add to pan to thicken sauce, season if needed.
