1/3 c. Crisco
1/3 c. butter (not margarine)
1/2 c. granulated white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 c. pre-sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 oz. (or more) milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix Crisco, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Stir flour, salt and baking soda in another mixing bowl. After mixing the dry ingredients together, stir them into the shortening mixture. Add at least 6 oz. milk chocolate chips. Make rounded balls of batter and place them on a greased cookie sheet. Cook at 350º for 10 minutes, or until the tops of the cookies are barely brown. Do not overcook.
