1-3 lbs stewing beef, cubed
2 Tbsp oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp flour
2 1/2 cups beef stock
4 carrots chopped
2 stalks celery chopped
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp basil
salt and pepper
5 potatoes, cut into large cubes
1 can (19 oz) undrained tomatoes, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot brown meat in oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and onions and cook until softened. Sprinkle flour over meat and onions. Cook, stirring until flour browns. Add stock, tomatoes, carrots, celery, Worcestershire sauce and basil. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours until beef is tender. Add potatoes and cook 30-45 minutes or longer until potatoes are done.
