2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
dash of salt
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. coarsely chopped almonds
1 egg (for egg wash)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Beat 3 eggs and sugar until very light and lemon colored. Stir in orange juice and almond extract. Add sifted dry ingredients and blend well. Stir in almonds, using hands to mix if necessary.
Flour hands and form dough into 2 loaves about 2-inches wide and 14-inches long; place on a large buttered baking sheet. Beat egg lightly and use to brush over loaves.

Bake at 350º 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven; slice diagonally about 1/2-inch thick. Cool on rack. Store in airtight container.
