1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour

Filling:
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla


4 c. thinly sliced apples
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. sugar
butter
1/2 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Crust: Beat first three crust ingredients with mixer. Add one cup flour and blend mixture to form soft dough. Push dough into the bottom and up the sides of a 9" deep-dish pie pan.

Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. Pour over crust, spreading evenly. Layer apples, cinnamon and sugar over cream cheese mixture. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of walnuts.

Bake 400º for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and bake for additional 30 minutes or until apples are done.
