10 C Flour

2 ½ oz. yeast (or 4 ½ packages dry) in ½ c warm water

2 ½ c water

7/8 c sugar

½ c oil

1 scant T salt

5 beaten Egg Yolks plus 1 egg yolk

¾ c white raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast w/ ½ c warm water
Add oil, water, beaten eggs, salt
Add flour 1/3 at a time mixing well
Add raisins 1/3 at a time mixing well
Knead dough with heals of hands on lightly floured board
Raise in warm location 1 ½ hours
Punch down dough and raise again for 1 hour
Shape dough into 3 braided or circular loaves
Glaze with 1 more egg yolk mixed with 1 T water
Bake 10 min at 425
Turn down oven- bake 30 min at 350
Dough can be refrigerated after first rising and frozen or processes completed next day
