1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp cinnamon
bread slices (approx 12) ***
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
salt, to taste

***I use Texas Toast bread slices - they are a thicker slice and absorb the liquid better than the regular sliced bread.

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a glass 9 x 13" cake pan ~ add sugar and cinnamon; mix well.

Place 2 layers of bread on top of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in pan. Beat eggs, milk and salt; pour over bread. Cover; let stand overnight.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, uncovered.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Much like an upside down cake, remove from pan and invert on to plate. Serve with butter, syrup or just as is ~ ENJOY!
