4-6 Breasts or thighs of Chicken
Lg package of egg noodles
1 whole clove or ground
1 bay leaf
8 large sage leaves
1 sprig fresh thyme
2 tsp salt
Ĺ tsp poultry seasoning

ľ chopped onion
1 large garlic clove pressed and chopped
1 cup chopped celery
2 Ĺ cups chopped carrots
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1 tsp cider vinegar
3 Tb chopped fresh parsley

Place chicken in 6qt pan adding water to 2/3 full
Add clove, bay leaf, sage and thyme
Bring to a boil
Reduce head
Cover and simmer for one hour
Remove chicken to plate to cool slightly
Add 2 cups water, salt, onion, garlic, celery and carrots
Bring to a boil and then add egg noodles
Boil uncovered for 16 minutes
Chop up chicken removing any skin or bones if you didnít use skinless boneless meat
Remove the bay leaf, sage leaves and the thyme stem
Add the cut up chicken, brown sugar, cider vinegar and the parsley
Cook for additional 5 minutes
