1 Box (1 lb) pitted dates
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. hot water
1-1/2 c. white flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, mix together 1 box (1 lb) of pitted dates, 1 C. brown sugar and 1 C. hot water, bring to boil and place aside to cool off. Mix together the remaining dry ingredients with butter until it resembles large crumbs. In an 8" x 12" greased ovenproof baking dish, make a layer of the "crumb mix" then add the date mixture and top it off with the rest of the crumbs.

Bake @ 375º for 25 minutes.
