1 cup Crisco
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 (1 Ib) box brown sugar
5 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. maple flavoring

Brown Sugar Glaze:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. Beat shortening, butter, and brown sugar at medium speed with mixer 2 minutes or until creamy. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each one. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder, add alternately with milk. Beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in flavoring. Pour batter in a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool completely on wire rack and then pour glaze on top.
