½ cup Crisco
About 3 medium bananas (1 cup)
½ cups chopped nuts
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
¾ tsp soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup buttermilk



Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour, measure and put back in the sifter with the soda, baking powder and the salt
2. Cream Crisco and sugar until fluffy
3. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg
4. Beat bananas up until no chunks remain
Add to the egg sugar mixture
5. Add vanilla and buttermilk
6. Add flour and leavening's from the sifter
7. Add nuts and blend carefully
8. Pour into one large or 2 small loaf pans that have been floured and greased
Bake 325 for about 1 hour for the small pans and 1 ½ hours for the large pan.
