2 lbs. ground beef
large cooking onion (diced)
1/2 green pepper (diced)
heaping teaspoon chile powder
small can tomato paste
2 eggs (beaten)
dozen salty crackers (broken)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, add half can tomato paste, crackers, onion, green pepper, chile powder, salt & pepper...stir all together, add meat and mix well. Place in two-quart casserole and bake l hour in 400 degree oven.

This recipe was a gift that I received from Charles' Grandma Mead...given at my bridal shower in 1963 in a little book titled "My Favorite Recipes" by Charles Davis...all hand written by his grandmother.
I still have the book and meatloaf and mac & cheese are still Charles' favorite foods.
