1/2 lb butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

Topping
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup sugar
1 T flour
1 c brown sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together in a mixer. Add the eggs and beat well. Add remaining cake ingredients and mix well.
Butter square baking pan. Pour in half the cake mixture. Mix together the topping ingredients. Sprinkle half the topping over cake. Pour the remaining cake mixture into pan and sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake in a 350º for 35--40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
