1 c margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients and add dry ingredients gradually. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll balls in mixture of 2 T sugar and 2 tsp nutmeg. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, but soft, 8-10 minutes at 375º.
