Cake:
1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 c flour
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 T cocoa
1 c sour milk
1/4 c boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Filling:
1 1/4 c water
2/3 c sugar
1 T cocoa
1 T vanilla
1 T cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
For cake, cream butter, sugar & eggs together. Dissolve cocoa in boiling water. Add sour milk, flour, soda, vanilla & salt. Bake at 350º in 2 9" pans.

For filling, cook until thick, put between layers of cake. Frost with white buttercream icing.

For a shortcut, you can use a commercial cake mix. The filling is what makes the cake special.
