3 to 3 1/2 lbs pot roast (chuck)
2/3 c water
1 pkg (2 oz) dry onion soup mix
4 carrots, cut in 1 inch pieces
5 potatoes, cut in 1/12ths to 1/16ths
2 onion, wedged

Directions:
Directions:
Trim fat from meat. Place meat on 2 large pieces of heavy duty aluminum foil (folded together lengthwise) in roasting pan. Mix water and dry onion soup mix. Pour over meat. Bring ends of foil over meat and seal. Roast. Temperature: 350º [set oven time for 3 hrs at 350º]
Time: 1 hr. 15 min. Open foil carefully; add vegetables; cook an additional 1 hr and 30 minutes or until done.
