1/2 c sugar,
3/4 c. milk,
1 3/4 c. flour,
1 c. cherries (fresh or canned),
2 tbl. melted butter,
1 tsp. baking powder,
pinch of salt,
1 egg,
Blend well and pour into buttered baking cups. Fill 1/2 c. and steam for 40 min.

Sauce: 1/2 c brown sugar,
1/4 c. butter,
1 heaping tsp. corn starch dissolve in cold water,
1 c. boiling water,

Mix brown sugar and butter together, set aside,
Add dissolve cornstarch to boiling water. Cook ten min. Pour over the butter-sugar mixture just before serving. Flavor with vanilla and color with cherry juice.
