1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup soft butter
1 egg, separated
3 Tbl. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, sugar & salt. Add butter, egg yolk & milk. Mix with fork. Add vanilla & pecans.
Form into small balls & place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press to 1/8 inch thick with bottom of buttered glass dipped in sugar. (One greasing does all, but dip into sugar after each pressing.)
Brush with slightly beaten egg white.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes, until medium brown. Do not overbake. Remove from sheets at once.
