1 cup light brown sugar
01 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter

2 eggs, beating well

Sift together:
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
4 cups flour

Add 1 cup of flour at a time to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition

Stir in:
1 tsp vanilla

Roll dough into several long rolls (roll should be about 2 across). Wrap each roll separately in waxed paper and chill several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice thinly. Bake on greased sheet 12 15 minutes.

**Dough may be frozen till ready to bake. Let thaw and slice.
