Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp instant yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup milk or potato water, lukewarm
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup well mashed warm potatoes
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups raisins
6-6 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix warm liquids with butter, sugar, eggs, mashed potatoes, salt and spices. Add yeast and 1 cup of flour. Beat 2 or 3 minutes with hand mixer. Add more flour until it becomes too thick to use mixer. Stir in raisins. Add remaining flour using a wooden spoon, and finally, hands. Knead as usual for buns, until dough is soft, but no longer sticky. It should spring back when pushed with a finger. Plop back into greased bowl and allow to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size. Punch down and form into bun shapes. Put on greased bun pan and allow to rise again. Bake at about 375ºF until golden brown, about 15 minutes or longer, depending on oven. Cool on wire rack. Before serving, decorate with a large X using your favorite vanilla icing.
