1/4 cup of butter softened
1 (16 ounce) package of confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add confectioner's sugar and beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
