1/2 c. flour,
1 c. sugar,
1/4 tsp. red food coloring,
3/4 c. cherry juice,
4 c. pie cherries,

Combine flour and sugar, add juice and coloring. Cook over direct heat, stirring until thick; add cherries and cool.

1 1/2 c. flour,
1c. brown sugar,
1/2 tsp. salt,
1 c. quick oatmeal,
1/2 tsp. soda,
1/2 c. butter,
Cut butter into dry ingredients which have been combined. Press half of the mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Pour cherry filling over; top with remainder of crust. Bake in 350 oven for 25 - 30 min.
