1 tsp dry yeast
½ cup water
½ tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 beaten egg
coarse salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Add salt, sugar, flour. Knead until smooth and elastic. Do not let dough rise. Cut into about 12 small pieces, the size of ping pong balls, and roll into thin ropes. Twist into pretzel shapes. Lay on foil covered baking sheet lightly dusted with flour. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with salt. Bake till golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
