2 cups boiling water
2 cups bran
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups oil
1 litre buttermilk
5 cups flour
1 tsp salt
8 tsp baking soda
1 cup raisins (opt)
4 cups bran flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over bran and cool. In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and oil. Add buttermilk and cooled bran. Add flour, salt, baking soda and raisins. Fold in bran flakes. Chill overnight in a covered bowl. Bake muffins at 350º until toothpick comes out clean. Keep remaining batter refrigerated until needed.
