4 eggs - medium
2 1/4 Cups flour
1 3/4 Cups sugar
2 1/2 Cups almonds (unpeeled)
2 Tablespoons butter (room temperature)
Dash of salt
2 Teaspoons baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Sift flour. Add salt, sugar, and baking powder. Cut in butter. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Add the almonds. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and form 2 long strips of dough on sheet (the dough will be sticky). Bake approximately 30 minutes, until golden. Remove and let cool. Now cut diagonally into 1/2-inch slices. Place in 325 F oven to brown (usually turn off the oven after 5 minutes and let the slices cool in the closed oven).
