3 cups large flake oats
1 1/2 cups barley flakes
1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup unsweetened coconut
1 cup hazelnuts (or any nut)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup vegetable oil or sunflower oil
1/4 cup water
2/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dried blueberries (or dried cherries)

In a large bowl, mix first 8 ingredients. Mix the wet ingredients separately. Combine both and mix thoroughly. Spread the mixture on two baking sheets. Bake 250º for 20-30 minutes. Stir periodically to ensure baking evenly and remove when golden brown. Cool and and stir in the dried fruit. Seal and store in the fridge up to a month. Other seed/nut/fruit combinations: almonds, wheatgerm, dried cherries, pecans, flax seeds (chopped), dried mango, walnuts, dried apricots, figs. This recipe is from the Rebar Cookbook. I like this one because my sisters and I all use it.
