Pecan Pie Squares Recipe

3 cups flour
¼ cup plus 2 tbsp sugar
¾ cup margarine, softened



Filling:

4 eggs
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups Karo light or dark corn syrup
3 tbsp melted margarine
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2 ½ cups chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

Beat flour, sugar and margarine in a large bowl until crumbly (mixture will be dry). Press firmly in pan 9x13 1/2x2. Bake until light golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Prepare filling by mixing all ingredients except pecans until well blended. Stir in pecans

Pour pecan mixture evenly over baked layer. Bake until filling is set, about 25 minutes. Cool and cut into 1 ½ inch squares.
