2lbs. fresh sausage – cut into 4 in pieces or desired length
2lbs. smoked sausage – cut into 4 in pieces or desired length
3-5lbs. potatoes peeled and quartered
2 cans stewed tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage in skillet (doesn’t need to be cooked through)
Meanwhile, pour in one can of stewed tomatoes in a dutch oven. Place of the potatoes on top and salt and pepper to taste. Place half the sausage on top.
Repeat layer, stewed tomatoes, potatoes, sausage. Then add about ¾ of a can of water.

Simmer on low several hours until potatoes are tender and sausage is done.

Note from Kelly: I like to add extra peppers and onions which I brown with the sausage. My Mom says this tip came from Aunt Martha.
