1 C. sugar
1 egg
2 C. flour
1 C. chopped nuts
1 stick oleo
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together; add well beaten egg and vanilla. Mix. add chopped nuts and flour which has been sifted with soda. Mix well, shape into a roll about 3 inches in diameter and roll up in waxed paper. Place in refrigerator, chill thoroughly. Cut off thin slices and bake in moderate oven at 350% about18 min.
