5 slices bacon, cut into ¼” strips
1 onion, chopped
1 28oz. can clams and nectar
1 14oz. clam nectar
2 large potatoes, cubed small
salt & pepper to taste
1 c. Pacific evaporated canned milk

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon in soup pot until tender but not browned. Pour off excess fat. Add onion and cook until soft. Add clams and nectar and potato. (Add boiling water if not enough liquid.) Season. Simmer until potatoes mushy. Remove from heat and add milk.

I squish half the potatoes in soup to thicken its body.

You can eliminate the clams and nectar and make a potato soup instead.
