4 or 5 good sized potatoes
1 onion, thinly sliced
5 tbsp. flour
milk and salt & pepper
dots of butter
shredded cheese, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Butter or spray casserole dish. Peel potatoes and evenly slice.

Layer potatoes, onion, sprinkle of flour, sprinkle salt & pepper, 4 dots of butter. Repeat layering, finishing with with potato on top. Cover with milk until just below top layer.

Cover and bake 400º approx. 45 mins. until potatoes cooked. Remove cover and continue to bake 15 mins.

If you choose, shredded cheese can be layered in potato mixture; top with cheese before putting in oven and remove cover last 10 mins. of cooking.
