"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Good parts of chicken
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cream of chicken soup

Directions:
Boil chicken (I like breasts) until tender. Remove from bone. Take 1 cup of the chicken broth and let cool. Mix flour, soda and salt and roll out. Cut into strips and let dry a few minutes, if you have time. Mix soup in remaining broth and put chicken back in. Bring to a boil. Pinch off dumplings from the strips. Cook uncovered about 10 minutes. Don't stir; just punch down in broth.
