1 quart water
1 cup sugar
3 large lemons, zested and juiced -
1 quart strawberries, stems and tops removed -rough chop

Directions:
In a saucepan combine 2 cups water, sugar and zest. Bring to a simmer-stirring often. Pour this simple syrup into a stainless steel bowl, adding balance of water and lemon juice-chill.

Puree strawberries in food processor. Stir into lemonade mixture - if you like pulp leave as is- otherwise, strain and enjoy over ice.
