1 Tbsp butter
1 sliced onion
2 lbs cubed beef
2 tsps salt
tsp pepper
2 cups tomato juice (or delete the water and use all tom juice)
1 cup hot water
2 cups sliced carrots
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup of frozen green peas
1 beef bouillon cube

Melt butter, add beef and brown, add onions, celery, water, tomato juice, salt & pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat until steam escapes. Add bouillon and reduce heat to low and cook about 1-1 hours.

Add carrots and cook 1 more hour; then add potatoes. When veggies are tender add frozen peas and cook for 10-15 more minutes. Before serving put about 2 Tbsp flour in cup water, mix and add to stew to thicken gravy.

Serve with rice or noodles
