1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 egg (unbeaten)
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 - 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. baking cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. cold water
2/3 c. oil
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla

In a small bowl combine cream cheese, egg, sugar, salt and chocolate chips. In a large bowl sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. To the dry ingredients, add 2 cups cold water, 2/3 cup oil, 2 teaspoons vinegar and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Pour cupcake pans 1/2 full of cake mixture. Into the middle, add 1 heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 until done. Makes 36 cupcakes.
