1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup margarine or butter
4 cups cooked chicken or turkey, cubed or shredded
3 cups water
1 tbsp. chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
3 tsp chicken bouillon granules
1 tsp. ground chili pepper
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 cans (16 oz.) great northern beans UNDRAINED
1 medium tomato, chopped
2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Tortilla chips or fresh bread

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in margarine in a 4 qt. Dutch oven until onion is soft (about 5 minutes).

Stir in meat, water, basil, bouillon, Chili pepper, cloves and beans,. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add tomato 10 minutes before severing. Garnish with cilantro and serve with chips or bread.
