12 eggs, separated
3 c sugar
1 quart milk
3 t vanilla
1 pint whipping cream
1 quart vanilla ice cream
4 c rum

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff. In separate bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff. Set aside. In yet another bowl, beat egg yolks, sugar and vanilla together, add milk. Next as you add the rum, pour on the sides of the bowl, stir slowly. Fold in egg whites and whipping cream. When ready to serve, pour into punch bowl add large dollops of ice cream. Sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg.
