5 c. flour
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
icing (2 tubes)
candies/raisins for decoration, if desired
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.
Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add molasses. Beat in dry ingredients. Roll onto floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters and lift by lightly-floured spatula onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 6 minutes.
Decorate as desired when cool.

This is my favorite cookie to make at Christmas.
I like to make palm trees for Mark, doctors or bones for Craig, or just decorate the 'men' in a personalized way. Ben got a bunch of men with 'D's on their shirts after his early acceptance to Dartmouth. Matt's cookies wore jersey #30.
