Dumplings:
1 1/4 cups S/R Flour
30 gms butter
1/3 cup of milk
pinch of salt
1/3 cup golden syrup

Sauce:
30gms butter
1/2 cup golden syrup
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup of brown sugar lightly packed

Directions:
Directions:
Make sauce by combining all sauce ingrediants in saucepan until sugar is dissolved, place into a warmed casserole dish and put into oven until sauce is very hot 180º to 200º. To make dumplings rub butter into sifted flour and salt. Then beat golden syrup and milk together and make a well in centre of dry ingrediants. Gradually stir in the milk mixture. place rounded tablespoons of mixture into casserole over syrup. Place Lid on and cook approximately 30 mins. Serve hot with sauce spooned over them with cream and icecream...
