2 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
1 cup shredded extra-old cheddar cheese
3 Tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. With fork, stir in cheese and chives. Stir in buttermilk to form soft dough. On lightly floured surface, gently knead dough 10 times. Pat into 3/4" thick round. Using 2 1/2" floured round cutter and pressing scraps together, cut out 12 rounds. Bake on greased baking sheet at 425šoven for 12-14 minutes or until golden.
