3/4 c. butter
2 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cocoa powder
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sauerkraut (drained)



Sour cream frosting:
1- 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chip pieces
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. I.M.O.
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 - 2 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture alternately with water. Stir in sauerkraut. Turn into a greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes.
For frosting: Melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat, blend in 1/2 cup I.M.O.©, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add powdered sugar until spreading consistency. Mix well and frost cake.
