2 c. white flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. Crisco oil
1 pot of chicken stew

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together. Add milk and oil. Spoon drop into boiling chicken stew. Cook for 15 minutes, turning dumplings often.

This recipe is from my paternal grandmother. She was a great cook and made this quite often. It was inexpensive and very filling. She would make it for the ranch hands that would help out on the farm.
