1 loaf Cuban bread
3/4 lb. baked ham, sliced
3/4 lb. roast pork, sliced
1/2 lb. American white or Swiss cheese, sliced
12 dill pickle slices
1 T. prepared yellow mustard
1/2 c. mayonnaise

Directions:
Directions:
Slice bread horizontally into two long pieces. Mix mustard and mayonnaise together in a small bowl, spread evenly on both sides of bread. On bottom half of bread, arrange ham, pork, cheese and pickles. Cover with top half of bread and slice into 3-inch mini sandwiches.

Cuban bread is baked fresh daily in Tampa. The best bread comes from the old bakeries like La Segunda in Ybor City. The original bakers used brick ovens and it was common to find small pieces of palmetto fronds in the bread.
