2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup light corn syrup
4 cups raw Spanish or Virginia Peanuts
2 T butter
1 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy 3 quart saucepan stir together the sugar, water & corn syrup over medium heat. Stir often and bring to a boil Add peanuts gradually so mixture continues cooking, stirring often to 260º on a candy thermometer. Add butter & stir until it melts. Continue cooking stirring often to 300º on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in soda.

Pour onto 2 ungreased cookie sheets - spread with a spatula. When cold break into pieces.

Pan will be very heavy & hot.
Store candy in a paper bag that is folded down. If you don't the candy gets sticky.
